o2 simulator question

yes ive searched, dont flame. ok:

1. are all o2 simulators the same? do they work universally?
2. if you answered no to question 1, then where can you get an o2 simulator for a 02 civic ex?
3. what kinds of places usually install o2 simulators?

Well I have a 2001 civic LX and I just installed my HP 4-1 header and i have a exhaust with no cat (yes i know illegal) anyways my check engine light came on and some one told me that it is because of the O2 sim. So what do I have to do to take that sign off?
If it is a 02 sim. can i buy them online?
how much aprox?
any info please
