ok guys i dont know if you know but i crashed my two week old turbo k24 2004 civic and it was trashed but i have purchaed a 2002 four door. for this project i want to relly build the d17 know as we all know there are not alot of parts out for the 7th gen's but i can get je 9:1 pistons and true honda rods for the d17, is this enough to run more than 10 pounds of will the crank need to be changed to. plus when i turbo this thing im getting the head done and that site the full upgrade cam and all and the maniflod i want an sf equal length but do you know where i can get one there website isnt up anymore or did it change adress i cant fid it well anyway drop some info and responces and well go from there

o yea i forgot to mention my trans is auto and its getting a tci master racing over haul kits so the trans can handle that boost

^^Rofl, from one auto owner to another that overhaul kit aint gonna do jack **** when you crank the boost of to 10 #'s lol. Also go get yourself some sleeves... your gonna need those LOL

Hmmm, you MIGHT be able to pull of rods and pistons but I would play it safe nd sleeve hile yuor at it.. and nope not a personal experience (thank goodness) but I've heard some nasty horror stories LOL

yea but i think im going to take the change i mean look at boostedzex hes running 10pounds on a cvt auto and i think a regular built will be stronger than that plus i collected alot from insurance so i think im jsut going to go for it, and where can i get sleeves i havent seen any around

I've seen D16's pushing well over 400 horsepower and some even more, I'm pretty sure the D17 is capable of doing the same thing. It just takes time for the aftermarket to come in and build parts for it. I don't understand why people always put the D17 down. I mean if your not happy with the performance get a different car don't put people down just because they want to be different. I'm going to build my motor too I'm just waiting to see what Crower is going to come out with. Good luck with everything 02sleeper.
