E-Manage Support Tool?
how necessary is it to have a support tool for the e-manage? I want it to use on my daily driver, but I don't plan to do much tuning, just want to make sure I have a good A/F ratio. can that be achieved with just the unit and taking it to a dyno shop?
also, will I need a wideband O2 sensor?

Buy the aftermarket cable, its about $40. Go to yahoo and search for the emanage group. They have the software available for download. It's nice to have to datalog and be able to play with yourself.

You can make adjustments but they're VERY rough. Having the support tool is a must if you really want to properly tune the A/F ratio. If you're staying NA, buy the Profec controller, or the Profec B controller and tune it with that.
The support tool will help you, the rotary adjustments just aren't specific enough.

u can go both ways.... having the support tool at ur personal disposal is nice if u know how to tune properly
getting it tuned the right the first time from someone with the support tool who knows what they are doing u may not need it
i dont have it

Hmm, there was some rumor about a guy that makes Greddy knockoff cabels thatll work and he was charign 40 bucks for them.. but I dunno. I hear a normal usb cable might not work with the setup. Try contacting Greddy or a vendor and tell them you lost the cable but have the support software and can you buy just the cable from them
