wow bringing up an old thread. and I am serious, my best friend owns www.TheSpeedFactor.com and they are giving me a better deal. The first company was a local one called Vertex and they are expensive as hell. That's why the prices are so high. New price is 5400 with built internals if everything goes right.

You should put the turbo on yourself!!!
You will learn stuff that you will need to know, because you will have problems, hpoefully just little bumps, but by putting it in your self you will be able to fix them, or eliminate a kink before the hose breaks, so to speak. Knowledge is power, you may end up saving more than just the labor expenses.
the only thing you might have someelse do is weld the oil line to pan, but you could buy some of that instant weld, and do everything your self, and then take it to your friends shop, and have more respect/pride!!! You can do it yourself man, it might be a pain and there will be times where it seems impossible, but you can accomplish anything if you put your mind to it, quoting doc brown.
