I'm about to install a 50 shot of nitrous in my car, so I just need some colder rated plugs... will the NGK Iridium IX plugs help this or should I get diff. ones?

the Denso IK20's are sooo expen$ive

I have the ngk iridium IX and they are supposed to be the stock heat range. However, I burned up a set of copper plugs in a day and they were the stock heat range. All I have is port work and milled head and the iridium are holding up fine. For nitrous, I would play it safe and choose a denso with the proper range. IK20 is stock I believe. I think you want ik22 which is a colder plug. Not sure tho.

These are good plugs - I run them as well. I had the iridium's in - but these run better (as witnessed by the condition of the plug). Sure, you'll have to replace them more often, but they're only like $5 for a set. Plus you can go around telling people that you have motorcycle spark plugs in your car!

I personally would not trust them because 1st off they're 6s and not 7s. Secondly, they have extended tips which typically are NOT recommended for nitrous applications. They might be ok for boost, but nitrous is a totally different ball game. I'd go with the ones I mentioned earlier and so would a lot of nitrous users that I know.

I'm currently using Denso Iridium IK22's (colder than stock IK20) with nitrous and getting a lot of misfires. Guy at Edelbrock recomended NGK V-power plugs.

I think he recommended them because they don't contain platinum and the center electrode doesn't stick out too far. I got these plugs, but I need a nitrous refill before I can test them. The only thing I didn't like was that the plugs came w/ a .040 gap. I regapped them to .030 (not sure if it's ok to change the gap by so much, electrodes may not line up correctly).
The NGK bkr7e are pregapped smaller (.032 I think). If I run into trouble w/ the V-powers, I'll try these. BTW, bkr7e's are also cheap @$$ plugs, go figure.
