Anybody with a K24a hybrid?

Who's got one done? I'm in the process of gathering all my parts to do this swap. Any input that anyone can provide would be great.

From what I know this swap is pretty straight forward. I was wondering if anyone experienced any problem during the process of the swap that I need to know about? I seems like an easy hybrid. At least easier than building a B20 Vtec.

The mount to put a k24 in a civic ex are sold by hasport for 5-600 bucks. You will also need a bunch of other stuff too. If you got a SI it should be the same mounts as long as your using the SI manual tranny. I'm putting the K20a2 head on the K24 for true Vtec action. Its easiest to do this if you have both engines complete.

Im doing the same K24 swap. I am using the TSX 2.4 Block with the TSX Head. I spoken to the owner at P1 Auto who does hybrid K24 swaps.....he told me that if I have hold of a TSX head instead of the RSX Type S ....to use the TSX. Im going to use the DC5 Type R tranny...got one for $2,000. I know expensive huh ? My TSX head is brand new from Acura as long as my RSX Type S manifold. I got my block for $600. hehehe I work at my local Acura....i get the parts for cost. helps out alot I am planning to get the turbo kit from Cybernation once it's devlop....i have been talking to one of the owner's Chris, he told me they been lookinh to buy a 6spd TSX both have no luck. My luck I have one.....so I might be selling them the future project TSX. It's black.....and they want blue or silver. So who knows...but the K24 is a big Turbo block to go for not all motor.

Are you using the RSX-S intake mani and TB. Thats the only way to get rid of the drive-by-wire setup that the TSX has. Also the RSX-S ECU. I want to run a turbo as well and thats why i'm going for the CRV block. Its compression is only 9.6:1 compared to the TSX's, which is i bit higher. Also the TSX engine is expensive and hard to get.

Yes I have the RSX Type S TB and intake manifold. Also I will be using the RSX Type S PRB ECU. Im still saving up a lil more money and plan on sending ECU to Hondata for the upgrade , programable ECU for $1,000. I got my TSX Head, RSX TB and manifold and other small parts from work brand new $1,500. So it wasnt so expensive for me. I also got the K24 TSX and K20 TYPES block both real cheap.... $600....hehehehe all i had to do was replace oil pan on K24 and change a rod in the K20. So i have back up block too...hehehe

I got them from work. My K24 block has 2,200 miles on it .I will be getting rid of 2 other K20 blocks. Soon i will have three blocks. I only need one. I will most likely post them on ebay. RSX Type S Block and a Integra Type R Block.
heheheh im spending alot of money building my Frankenstein motor.

So this owner of P1 does hybrid k24's. There has been a lot of speculation that the accord and element k24 blocks will hit the valves on the type-s head and wont work without new pistons. And that the crv k24 is safe without high revving. I have been trying to figure out this dilemma for awhile because im itching to do it and i found a cheap accord motor i want to pick up.

Can you give me the contact info for this shop, i'd like to talk to him. And also ask him whats the true story about this since he has real experience.
Thanks.

I will probably not go turbo for awhile even if i decide to do it. The accord motor i speak of is only 7 bills. And thats dirt cheap. If i can use that, my frank setup will be complete for not much more.

Has anyone done a k24 swap with these mounts??? I'd like to know if they actually fixed the height problem.
