It's great seeing a mother help her daughter modify her car, but I'm going ot hafta play safety sam here
Nitrous i'm sure is a great mod, but there is alot to consider before running any sort of no2 kit on your vehicle
Remember to consider the following:
- The power difference between the car as it is and with no2...an unexperienced driver that only wants no2 to fit in isn't a safe situation for the driver or others she encounters...
- Nitrous wrecked havoc on the cars engine life, and in the hands of a unexperienced user, will cause for major headaches...certainly a lil sneaky pete shot isn't goign to hurt much, but running even somethign as a 50 shot without the correct plugs and etc to go with it may or will cause harm to the engine
-There is much more to know before just getting Nitrous installed...while I will never EVER run it in any of my vehicles (due to it's notority of eating bearings), it will become addcitve (well the speed may be) and could cause someone to get hurt, if not killed if the user/driver doesn't fully understand what all comes with the package
Instead of Nitrous, i'd much rather see you and your daughter mod your car N/A first (intake/headers/pulleys/exhaust/etc. etc. etc) before just slapping on a turbo kit...ya never know, your daughter may prefer the N/A world due to her having good power at all times, rather than when her bottle is full or not

Not many of those out there! Major respect for that one!!!For an installer.....look around where you live, look for a motorsport shop, or look in the phonebook under auto. Basically, any motorsport shop is a reliable installer.

/\/\AceAltima is right. You need to familiarize yourself with nitrous and be aware of all the dangers before considering it. Talk in depth with an experienced n2o user and make sure your daughter is aware of how serious nitrous is. Good luck to ya

Don't assume because of our gender we are stupid and have not done our homework. Or that we are irresponsible and poor drivers. I am new to the "tuner" world, but I have done my research. I don't believe your comments
would be the same to the "boys" that inquire about the same topic on this forum. I haven't seen you lecture those who have shared their exploits of "kills" on the streets with their nitro set-ups.

Well unless you plan to beef up engine internals, plugs, etc, look into replacing the engine soon. The comments would have been said to any male member that posted the same thing. Go read the street race stories and you'll see we don't condone that kind of thing here either.
Then assuming everything is installed right and working, you will still be paying to refill the bottle. It's really not practical unless for emergency use or something. But hey, it's her car and money.

pics of daughter please
lol............find a local shop or have your daughter ask some of her friends if they know. Stick with a small shot at first. Upgrade your plugs to at least 1 range colder........depending on where you live. Also, prepare in the future to be buying a clutch........possible headgasket, tires..............oh yeah and some speeding tickets.

Just don't take it as an anti-girl style thread...trust us, regardless of what we drive, most tuners will look out for other drivers to make sure they dont' make mistakes...and IMO nitrous isn't a good route to take...now i'm sure and positive other members will say otherwise, but to me running nitrous will be cheaper in the start, but will cost you more in the long run (especailyl if you burn an engine)

If your located in Phoenix, I could locate a shop for ya. I have no clue where youre at though??? What state or city are you located, so somebody could find a shop CLOSE to ya? People do say it is not smart to run nitrous, but they have made it much safer over the years, and people run too much all the time is what their problem is I believe. Just dont let her spray all the time, and she should be OK, and check the plugs,no spray more than 15 sec's, blah blah, just make sure youve read everything you can about it, before she starts spraying, and let her know all the info youve found out, to keep her and her engine safe! Good luck, I cant wait till I get some after X-Mas!
