I suggest an aftermarket ECU and full dyno mapping if your going to go turbo. Turbos are not that simple. If you want to do it right, there should be no "tricking" going on. Just my opinion.

Yeah I know i need more fuel and thats why I'm getting 370cc injectors, but I need to trick the Map sensor so the ECU won't go crazy when I boost.

When you install Turbo how do you insure you you don't get premature combustion. Is that up to the computer or a bunch of factors combined?

No - for some reason there has been a glut of morons that have flooded this board recently. I don't know why - but it is starting to suck.

When you suggested to get a new ECU - well, if you would do some research and search the board, you would see that none are available for this car. Randomly throwing stuff out like this is what pisses me off - because it is misinformation.

If you do not know things that will help, than post to another message. I'm not trying to be an @sshole - just stating the honest truth.

Well when you say there is no ECU out for this car, you are completely wrong. What I suggested was an aftermarket ECU and full dyno mapping. This means ANY fully programmable ECU would work. ECU's are not vehicle specific.I'm not talking Hondata or any crap like that, I'm talking all out, like Motec or AEM. When you add a turbo to a vehicle it changes the engine dynamics considerably. You would benefit from a custom program developed on an engine dyno. I'll admit this is extreme overkill, and my answer was fairly retarded. What I was getting at was if you go with this setup then you would be able to calibrate the ecu so that the readings from the MAP sensor could be taken "as is" and not have to be "tricked". My opinion is that most people's turbo setups seem to be pretty crappy. Yeah they work, and they are fun, but they are poorly engineered. Of course you can run boost with a stock ecu, but you also will most likely need some sort of piggyback unit, and various other components like the missing link in order to get your car to run correctly. Just not how I would do it. Seems as though it is working great for you though. Don't be such an a$$hole, this forum is for people to learn, if they say somethign you don't agree with, try to help them out.

you find one and ill never second guess u again, and u think that any ECU is going to run on our car, im glad u think that, ive looked, bc if it was out there i would have had it a long time ago, the closest thing ive even come to is a remapped stock ECU that was going to be done on the side by a recent employee of skunk2. and that is the closest. so once again, u do the searching for us all and let us know when u locate a company that makes full replacement ECU for our car that keeps everything else running too

For people who have been on the board for a while, we know which members to actually listen to if we need advice. People who are new don't know who is talking BS and who actually knows their stuff. So problems like this thread come up.

I should have locked it when I moved it....
