Tranny Swap
Hey everyone, I was just wondering what i would need for a auto-manual tranny swap. I did searches already but most of the threads were related to the RSX motor and tranny swap.
I obviously need the tranny, shifter linkages and assembly, the clutch reserviour and the pedal itself. I was wondering if i would need to use new half shafts from a manual tranny or would my the automatic half shafts work?
Also ive heard different answers on if my auto ecu would work or i have to get a manual ecu. And since its a different tranny would i also need extra mounts? I shared the car with my parents and thats y i have an automatic.
The tranny is off another civic
Any advice would be greatly appreciated,
Ken

You will need:
tranny
slave cylinder
Master " "
new brake pedal
clutch pedal
axles from a manual tranny
new starter from a manual
shifter
shift cables
front and tranny side motor mounts
a new subframe from a manual or reweld the front bracket to fit (i have the exact mesurement I just have to find it)
new center console piece that goes around the shifter
misc nuts and bolts
clutch fluid bottle
clutch lines (get the metal ones from auto zone and bend yourself)
the backmost engine to tranny bracket
I would also recomend:
Helms manual (must have has all of the tourqe specs) very, very helpful
tourqe wrench (rent from auto zone)
engine hoist
put in a aftermarket clutch, fly wheel and energy suspension motor mount inserts while you have everything apart
LOTS OF BEER
Your ECU will work if you don't mind the D light on the dash flashing and a check engine. You do need to keep the shift position sensor from the auto tranny and rewire the park signal reverse and neutral signal
Have fun!!
