k20a3:a2 ecu & head

I have a friend who has a friend that's got a k20a3 with trans that he said he would sell for $500. I don't know any details about the engine yet (miles, how long has it been sitting). What I have in mind is swapping in the engine now and buying a type s head and slowly building it for later installation (maybe cams, port n polish, valves, springs, and retainers). I don't think the engine comes with the ecu, but if I get a type s head I would have to get a the k20a2 ecu, right? Which makes me wonder if I could go ahead and get the a2 ecu and run the a3 engine with it while I build a a2 head. Any advice?

Also, is it true that I'll have to trim my hood to gain enough clearance for the top pulley on the k20? What about the axles, will I be able to keep my 4 lugs? I just bought wheels and tires (4lug). And the power steering, k20a3 has electric right?

yes you can keep your 4lug suspension hasport makes axels for this swap, as for using the A2 ecu on a A3 motor, It should work. My buddy has an Si with a A2 head swap, along with A2 ECU, injectors. This head has been on the car for almost a year and no problems.
