Intercooler Piping

im about to go hit up summit racing and get my intercooler piping for my turbo kit and was wondering what bends i will need? i have an LX, so i will be running the piping up both sides since i will have room for it. i am getting the 2.5" piping and already have a chargepipe, so i just need a few pieces. i know i need 2 "U-bends", but what other pieces will i need? i am just gonna take it to get welded up then powdercoated when i am done. thanks for the help.

2/5" is might small. Your turbo is going to be the size of peanut then.

You mean 2.5"?? I'd recommend buying all u-bends and cut, hack and weld as you need. U-Bends have every bend available to make what you need. Take it from experience.

I'd say 8-10 bends or so should be fine for the charge piping. 2.5" will support like 500 WHP as far as air velocity............it is more than enough. You may actually be doing harm by going that large of a diameter. Air travels up to a certain velocity, then actually creates turbulence in it's travels anywhere after that point. That turbulence causes poor air flow, which inhibits performance.

See if they have J-bends, they are a U-bend with one leg longer may be benificial. Also have you figured out what your doing for winshield washer bottle? I've been searching for something small and compact to fit over by the battery.
