Exclamation is it worth it?

im looking on upgrading my engine i have a 01 civic lx w like 58000 miles on it.. im not looking for a race track type of deal, but something faster than wat i got... i was thinking if i cant fix this engine up get a v-tech engine n fix that one up, but i just wanna know what yall think im new on this forced induction thing so any help will b apreciatethx

swapping to the ex "vtec" engine wont give you much more power. lots of lx/dx owners are doing the vtec head swap. nobody has gotten it dynoed to see what kinda power it yields. you will recieve small gains with bolt on parts so it's like you either get all or nothing. Small gains with boltons or big gains with turbo. Another option would be to swap the base rsx engine. its rated at 160 hp. lots of choices to play with.

save ur money towards a turbo kit. a head + labor + parts = 1/2 of turbo kit. plus u only gain about 10whp at most.

agreed ... if you're not looking for something too fast, get a k20a3 ... plenty of them out there
