as everyone always says on here...with enough money anything is possible...but as for someone making mounts for the b18....nope, for it fitting right in....nope, for it being legal.....nope. you have to have an engine the same year as your car or newer.
yeah, you pretty much have to go to a racing team to get them. some pro drag racers use the b-series with 7thgen bodies. oh, and that crao about it being illegal, plz, cops rarely check under hoods unless ur obviously flaunting it or at the street races.
I wish I was asian

Go some place that doesn't care.... Also i doubt most places would check out the engine for a year it was made.
It's only illegal in states with emmissions laws. Making a set of mounts wouldn't be too tough for someone who knows how to fabricate. I'm sure with a set of b series and d series mounts, it wouldn't be too tough.

Can you prove its only illegal in states with emisions laws?
What state are you in? If you're that worried about it, check your state statutes. Think about it, by you opening your hood, there is no way for an officer to know what engine is in your car unless he runs the vin, first off. Secondly, if there are no emissions laws in your state, what would be the issue with having an older motor, other than it doesn't pass smog? That is the reason that law is in place. I was in Colorado for about four years where there are emissions and nobody cared what year car or motor you had as long as you could pass emissions standards.
BTW, just an FYI, I am a paralegal and there is no way to prove a negative. If there isn't a law, there isn't a law. There is no way to prove there's no law other than to check the state's statutes and find there isn't one, but I don't really consider that proof.

take las vegas for example.. not a single place out here checks ubder ur hood.. if you have an obd2 in ur car all they do is hook up to the car and see if its running clean and stuff... if it not then they stick the sniffer in the exhaust and run tests from there... no such thing as engine inspection here... yes we have emissions law here but its very not so strict... as long as ur car doesnt smoke and has a cat that does its job then u should be fine... but other than that if you dont pass just hand the guy an extra $50 and he passes you... shesh...we got more than 70% or racers out here who either dont have a cat or have a motor swap.... and most of the motor swaps are engines from older cars i have lived in cali and hawaii so i know how strict emissions can be... in hawaii they have a thing called RECON..anytime u modify ur car it has to pass the reconstruction requirements then they give u this sticker to put on ur car...if not and a cop pulls u over ur gonna get a big *** ticket fine...its funny cause here in vegas u can drop ur car and drive around while its hitting the ground and the cops dont care.. but in hawaii ur car frame cant be lower than 6inches off the ground...
