dead tranny

recently i knew my clutch was getting pretty soft (ACT stage 2) but after i got my car back a week and a half ago and dynoed it my 3rd gear synchros are shot, i think my 5th are goin too...so my tranny is dead. the clutch, master cylinder, 3rd gear synchros...i was wondering if a 6th gen Lx tranny would bolt up? anyone know what the gear ratios are? because i have a friend selling one with 18,000 miles on it for real cheap...thanks for the help, hopefully ill have my car again for longer than a week lol...oh yea, by the way...from what ive seen when my motor was taken apart the motors aren't what's weak, its the transmissions

those are post shifters, ours are cable. You would have to have some linkages made along with another shifter assembly. I tried it when i broke my tranny. Way too much work for little gain.

My synchros are going out too and I'm not even boosted yet. I searched around a little and found a company called Gearspeed that specializes in Honda transmissions. They rebuild trannys from stock to custom full race setups. They also sell heat treated synchros. I think they go for around $250 a set. The only problem is whether or not they have our application. I tried to call them tonight but everyone has already gone home.

Here's their contact info. They're located in Southern California.
