ITR pistons for the a3?...
ITR pistons for the a3?...
everything i've been reading bout the a3 is generally negative!...and i'm really an all motor guy, so, i was wondering if swapping the the pistons out for some dc5's($250), would be worth my while?....thanks for any help....
the dc5 has a k20a engine with a cylinder bore of 86.00mm and the d17a3 is the civic lx motor with a bore of 75.00mm. thats a 11.00mm difference you'd have to bore out of the lx motor cylinder wall. that would probably weaken the wall enough to make it crack, or that may be enough material removed to penetrate into the water jacket. it looks like dc5 k20a pistons can not fit into a d17a. sorry guy -- Jeremy

Well if you are trying to help then actually read the post then post something worth while. People posting like you did make other people do stupid stuff like drilling a hole in there gas tank to put there nawwsss in.
I was never laying on your hood so how could i get off of it?

ok you read "a3" with no indication of a k20 swap, would you think d17a3 since most 7thgen's dont have a k20 swap? i looked at his "see my ride" and i saw no engine bay pics, just a lot of exterior shots. so i assumed he would want to show off a k20 and put pics of it if he had one. i read his post, every word, i swear i did. and if anyone is stupid enough to drill into their gas tank, i have nothing to say to them. -- Jeremy

You are in the "Forced Induction and Swaps" so shouldn't that tell you something?
I am glad you show knowledge by the bore of different engines and pistons but you are still learning about the forum that is 7thgencivic.com . You will learn that most of us are as.sholes.
