D17 Turbo prep?

Do I need to do anything to my stock engine in preperation for a turbo set at say like 5-6 psi? I found a TSI kit for like $3000, but I dont know if i can afford to spend at least that on rebuilding the engine right now. thanks for the advice!

nope, not for low boost like that. BTW you can get TSI extreme kits for less than that

Turbo FAQ is what you need....

No need for internals at that PSI, however, learn from others and make sure it's tuned right...

is the TSI kit worth buying? Should i wait so that i can run a higher PSI?

do you know much much boost is too much for a stock d17?

if i were boosted i wouldnt go past 5-6 psi
