Complications of an Electronic Throttle?

Just out of curiosity, is it possible in some way or another to convert an electronic throttle to a cable, or visa versa? The three things I can think of in this are the TB itself, which most likely can be swapped easily, the gas pedal, which I don't know much about, and the ECU which controls it. My thoughts would be to go in the direction of manual since it seems easier (and I hate electronic throttles), but the ECU isn't gonna like it (unless you swap an ECU with it, which then the rest of the engine doesn't like it). If you go the other way, the ECU and the TB agree, but now the gas pedal doesn't. Anyone know what kind of sensor set up they have hooked up to the pedal that runs it?

There's your brainbuster for the day... I'm curious to know.

PS-This isn't a quiz, I don't know the answer.

Presently - no

Which is why the K24 in the TSX won't work unless you either swap out the throttle body or the head and ECU.....drive by wire hasn't really been exploited yet I think....

Cool - but the Honda's use a new thing called a multiplexing bus, which means aftermarket engine management systems don't work with them (yet) - that's what holding AEM up with the EMS....

I'm telling ya boiler, its really not worth the hassle the delay is really annoying, yea its pretty small but still noticeable. The only TBW that seems to work good is BMW.

It works better... good isn't the word I'd use. I know because my Dad's 325 has it, and its invisible until you go to do anything fun. blip downshifting is a pain, so is quick upshifting, because the computer has to think about it, by the time it does it, the clutch is on the way out.
Its better though because BMW actually uses a 1:1 linear rate increase between the gas pedal going down and the throttle opening. More you give it, the more you get. Its not like the one in my Mom's Jetta where 1/2 way is go, then back it off to cruise, then floor it and wait to go.
