Hideing intercooler?
Throw some suggestions on how to hide the intercooler. Since madwheel got in trouble, we need to find a way to make it so that our intercoolers are not a visable to cops. A performance shop recomended that you could always paint it black. Wouldnt this make the performance of the intercooler decrease? Also what do you guys know about how the grill craft fits with sf intercooler pipeing

Joe didnt get pulled over because he had an intercooler, if you look and listen to his ride you can tell he has alot more. Thats besides the point, I'd say buy some mesh and custom make yourself a grill.
yeah painting will not decrease the performance that much, but it's not worth the risk or drop in performance. If your G Money then get it anodized, that would be sexy, If your not then just just paint the mesh black and slap it on
My intercooler is painted and it works fine, but I am running an intercooler rated for 300+hp and Im making 212. If you are really concerned another thing you can do is cover the core and paint the end tanks then just do a very light coat on the core. A bunch of people over on honda-tech run painted intercoolers as well, there is at least one thread that is dedicated to pictures of them.
