Im just vurious to see how the swaps are comin along. This forum has plenty talk about turbos but not enought on swaps. Id like to see anotherslone's mods. It must be a page long.any ways heres what i got

Nice setup, just one question...why go for GC w/ Koni? Why not go with JIC or Tein or something of that sort?

Because the koni yellow/GC combo is cheaper And you can get custom spring rates for them too

I only have enough money for the springs right now, and you can't buy the springs seperate from the shocks with the Teins or JICs so i'm goin that route. I need to get tighter springs in my car before the 27-28th of September, goin to Watkins Glen

K20A2 w/ hasport mounts
6 speed tranny
GReddy Evo exhaust
K and N drop in in OEM airbox
RSX axles, 5 lug, RSX brakes
RSX OEM wheels powdercoated white (on OEM michelins, i have OEM wheels with 205/55/16 azenis kickin around too)
dropped on eibach prokit for RSX (-1.0F/-1.4R) with konis (i think civic konis)
rear camber kit (dunno what brand)
progress front and rear sways with grey's upgraded endlinks
tsunami front
z3 fenders
cleared front headlights with HID's taken from Acura TL (4100k) modded into an H4 bulb
oh, and an ALARM!

i really want hondata, but can't afford any car downtime right now. plus i hear the ecu is a bitch to get out. of course i'd REALLY like the toda kit, but we can't have everything...

y b/c those are JDM? I swear...this "JDM MOVEMENT" is seriously getting on my nerves....I personally go with work works and I get the best product for the best product...sorry not going out my way to make my car a JDM *****

maybe because JIC and tein make full coilovers? and those would be a superior product to spring/shock combo?

The Konis have all the adjustment i need so i'm gonna get them, i can't justify spending that much money on a set of coilovers.

There is a reason they are more expensive. More adjustability and they work better. Not everything has to do with the "JDM craze" I

i don't know your level of expertise, or what kind of tools you have access to...

j/k, but yeah the EL is a rebadged and tweeked civic. same chassis, it would work. i don't know of an EL with a swap, you could be pretty unique

I havent gotten the car back from the shop yet, Its only been there about 2 weeks and when i had it towed to them they told me it would be about three weeks before they could get to it, plus i need some more time to save up some more money.

Pray tell, where'd you guys find k20A2 engines and how much did they cost? I'm thinking of doing a swap but heard its next to impossible to find a decent Type S engine. Thanks.

mine came from a person that decided to back the car into a pole at about 60mph? It only had 4,058 miles on it. The guy i got it from got it from a auto auction, just look around junkyards and ebay even maybe, your bound to find a good one eventually.
