Ok I just saw the pics. WOW that is gross. Dont put that on your car man. you will lose so much power. its just junk. worth no more than scrap aluminum price. not trying to be **** but send it back and have them shove that up their *** sideways......twice! makes me want to puke seeing that
some of you may know, Im working on a manifold for our cars. I have a person from this site that is gunna try it on there car also. If it works I may sell them, maybe through truehonda or something. Before they are sold there will be dynoed proof of all improvements and losses in horsepower. manifolds are a give-take kinda thing. expect the price to be around 1200 - 1500 but they will be beautiful, functional works of art with extensive cnc machining and perfect welds. I dunno if anyone will spend that much but if you guys can spend 700 for that junk then maybe the people who really need one can swing it. I have one on my car now and its awsome.
thats actually the last thing id worry about. The proportions are all wrong and it has none of the properties to make a smooth transition from the plenum to the runners. under boost all those outside corner welds WILL fail. I can almost garantee that. They coulda at least used seemless square tubing. It would be stronger and way less work.

I agree, that manifold is.... let's just say.... rough.
Anyone got a good reason to keep this open? I think just about everyone has voiced their opinion at this point........

OMG what is that thing!! Looks like it's for a D16...but oh that's the same as a D17 rright? Sorry but that won't make any power. And what is it made out of? I thought they said some "space age" material that never gets hot. Gimme a break.
Wait for 02fpcivic's mani--now that is QUALITY work.

Oh and by the way although this manifold is a piece box plenum's tend to do pretty well on boosted cars.

He bought this before all the problems with DH. His dyno's weren't accurate anyway so there's no point on listening to them...
I've sent guns 2 messages now via PM but my sent items and tracking aren't showing anything so I'm not sure if he got them.
If guns didn't get the block by now, I think we're all going to Vegas. Who's coming with us?
^^^ Can you take some pictures of his shop while you're down there? It would be interesting to see what they have there.
Yah, you're right about problems with DH, however I'm not one quick to jump on new products. I'm waiting for a new cam to come out WITH a proper dyno. Just another couple more months from what I hear...

This is actually not a new product but a copy cat of the KMS intake manifold.
I has the same crappy *** design with short runners.

but it is only a five hundred dollar piece of crap

Where could I get that flange. I have a boy with a metal shop and want to see if he could whip one up. Could you give us some measurments and maybe a few more pics from different angles. If he could do it I am sure it would be much cheaper than DH.

Only way to create a manifold for our cars is to eiter use a side mounted TB, or wrap the runners around - which someone has already done, however $1200 for a manifold is fvckin' crazy. That's how much the AIR Reasearch carbon fiber manifold goes for - THAT is a piece of art!

On the dyno it netted around 25 more top end HP - simply amazing!

LoL, it appears that this thread attracted more attention than planned. After Josh saw this thread we finaly had it out over the phone. I will say this however: Although Im not satisfied and feel that DH's claim of making it up to me will never happen Dave has been nothing but pleasnt to deal w/. A little hard to reach but always willing to work w/ me. As for Josh hes shady and just a liar in general he told me "2 more weeks I promise" for about 6 months straight. So to Dave Id like to say Im dissapointed but I learned my lesson. To Josh I'd like to say Bite my bag bitch!
