Turbos for an automatic

Hey guys i have a 2002 civic Gli (sedan) i was wondering if it a stupid idea to turbo charge a civic with an standard automatic transmission. i have tried to find out information about it here in australia but hardly anyone here turbo charges civics they consider it a waste of time. any info would be appriciated.

most ppl consider it a waste of time and not worth it. but with an automatic turboed u can boost more. except its kindah stupid since ur having ur car switch gears for u and yeah.

It's been done, but you're gonna have to stay at 4psi to be safe. Still gives nice power tho. Just get a tranny cooler to keep the fluid cool.
