Tis forum has alot of usefull info about turbos, but absolotly nothing about superchargers. i have no idea how they work, but they look more simple then a turbo setup.
Can someone lead me somewhere where i can learn more about them, or start a superchargers 101 thred or something.

Rep Power: 0 A supercharger works basically the same as a turbo, only it uses a belt and pulley to drive a turbine which forces the air into the engine. This gives superchargers instant boost where as turbos have to wait for the exhaust gasses to create boost. Look around at Jackson Racing or here

Lots of companys make them, not for our car of course.. He wasn't asking if one was made for our cars, he just wanted to know how they work.. or at least that's what I gathered from the question at hand..

Rep Power: 0 i'm not a big fan of superchargers....
turbos use exhausted energy to make more power while superchargers require power to make more power....
limited power potential with superchargers because boost is dependent on the size of the pulley that is used to turn the charger...
superchargers take up a lot of space and trying to make a custom is kit tends to be more expensive than piecing together a turbo kit...
