T28 - Gt28
anyone know the differece between a t28 and a gt28 turbo. im pretty sure i heard right that the higher the ar rating the more power it capable of producing, so why would a gt28 cost more than a t28.
here are the specs of the 2 linkafied. anyone know?
which should i go for to make 300whp?

The GT28 is a ball bearing turbo. I remember reading somewhere that the GT28 flows less than the GT25. I thought this was weird because I believe the T28 flows more than the T25. I assumed the GT models would be the same as Garrett's normal turbos.
GT is a dual ball bearing...and it should flow more, depending on the a/r, but the T28 and GT28 both use a T3 turbine and the housing from a T25. The T28 is used as oem nissan turbo and the GT28 is a mitsu turbo
so from the links i put in wouldn't the t28 be better it has a higher a/r rating. doesn't that mean that it's capable of producing more whp? isn't the dual BB used just to spool faster?
^spools faster and is more efficient from what ive heard. Others have said that it doesnt make a huge difference. I think on our cars a dual BB turbo is a bit of overkill. Depends I guess if you're going to build up to utilize all of its potential. Im guessing the reason why the BB turbo has smaller ar ratios is because maybe it doesnt need them to be big because it can produce better gains with efficiency. Thats the only reason I can think of, and im probably wrong!
