2000 SiR question
ok... i know this isnt a 7thgen civic...but its still a civic and my question has to do with forced induction...
ok so here goes... my buddy recently bought a 2000 civic SiR (canada). in the past 2 weeks he has already put on a full cat back and dc headers with an AEM v2 intake...among many other mods... (where he has gotten this money from i dunno...aswell i told him he is doing everything too fast but he doesnt want to listen)
next week he is gonna go with some sort of forced induction... we have gotten into a debate as to what type is better for his car (turbo or supercharger)...i say turbo, he says supercharge...whats ur take on this all?

he can't use the v2 with a turbo because the turbo kit should come with the necessary intake piping... he might be able to use the filter though, but i doubt it... and the kit should come with a filter anyways..
he should have saved up for a turbo instead of wasting his money on the v2, header, and exhaust...

Ford uses eaton superchargers as OEM since '91... They are very reliable and make decent power...
Many other companies use turbos as OEM (Subaru) and have no issues either...
Either will make tons of power if you want them to.... It's all in the compressors and setups...
