WTB:D17 Engine for R&D from Exospeed
hey guys...
i'm looking for a d17 motor. it can be vtec or non-vtec but i prefer vtec.
the motor must be out of the car...
i've been talking to john from exospeed and he's planning on making internals for our d17's but he needs an engine to do all the R&D on...
if anyone here has one just lying around or knows where we can get one for cheap, hit me up or just reply on the thread.

I have a D17A1 i'll donate. 
The shortblock is complete and perfect. The head is almost complete but missing the valve cover & cam. No intake manifold. Under 20k miles when pulled and ran great.
You gotta come out to Ventura county and pick it up.

I have a spare 02 EX motor, complete with intake/exhaust manifolds and all covers/sensors/parts/intact wiring harness. Motor holds perfect compression and only has 5k miles on it.
I'll make a deal with Exospeed... I'll pay to ship them the motor and to ship it back if I get my motor back with whatever parts they are planning on designing, also with a promise from me for dyno sheets and track videos of the completed motor in my car, as well as the motor going in a car that regularly goes to shows in Oklahoma, Texas, and other close areas. Or if they would prefer, if it is in summer or on a break from college, I will trailer the car to where they are for installation/tuning/whatever they want.
If this is something that Exospeed may be interested in, you can PM me for my phone number and I'll be glad to talk to them. I'd love to have a built motor, and I can offer them a lot of exposure/advertising for their products.

Rep Power: 0 im saving my money and buyin a motor just waiting for him to send it out.. want to have exospeed build it up..they said awhile back that they would make parts for our car. i was under the assumption that they had a motor and were able to make the parts?

Rep Power: 312 That's why I resurrected this thread - exospeed are supposed to be SOHC greatness! I really want to see something come of this - of course the pistons, rods, etc exist - but there still is no proof of dyno any of it (including a camshaft)......I want proof - than I'll be happy!

i didnt know there was a need for dyno results on pistons and rods, those are just kinda reinforcements for bigger and better things to come

The only dynos I've seen on here are for DH racings crappy Pnp job, and turbo setups......

eh, whatever - no big deal either way...
I just want to see some dynos from people showing some impressive #'s - that's the only way to show companies out there that this engine has a market.
When I went to the track last Wednesday - so many people stopped by to check out the turboed D17, because no one wants to waste their time with it. All thought it was cool, so there is a chance.

I have a complete 2001 ex 5 speed motor for sale. It is realy cheap too. Low miles under for sale section. I have axels tranny ecu or whatever is needed.
