Heh - Tell you guys what. I just found out today that I am going to be flying to Victorville tonight for work. I'll be out there for about a week (until about Wed of next week). According to mapquest, victorville is about 1.5 hours from Lancaster. Think I might be stopping by SF Power's shop and see what's up....

Is it that hard to drive to a UPS Store and put them on the counter? 30mins tops would have saved 1 week for these guys.

I have been trying to respond to emails and PM's that i recieve, but my outgoing email server is down.

Anyway, The kits that i posted were going to go out did. And the reason i dont take them to a UPS store is because the box weighs upwards of 80 lbs, and does not fit too well in a civic or a BMW. And if the boxes get damaged in transport, it is not our fault.

Ahtasham, i recieved your emails and tried to respond. yours will go out upon the arrival of your tial wastegate. Its already packed up and was sitting next to Kevin's, David's, and Clifton's kits. I am just waiting on my supplier for your wastegate.

Opto, victorville is pretty close to us here. So you are more than welcome to come down if you would like.

If you do not see your parts showing up on the UPS site, just give it time. Sometimes it takes a while.

Catalyst, how long do you think your supplier would take to get the wastegate delivered? I am sure you must have ordered the parts when you got my payment (3 months ago). So I am hoping it should be real soon now. But if you think its gonna take some extra long time then please let me know.

What's the status on the rest of our kits that don't have tracking numbers yet? Are you waiting on parts still?

Why couldn't you call 1-800-pick-ups and have them pick the kits up? Doesn't cost anything extra.

Still nothing. UPS is usually instantaneous the moment they scan the package but I'll give it til the end of the day before I start bitching.

You guys are amazing. After knowing that there would be a long wait from previous sales, I still hear complaining. Just be patient and everything will work out. Remember they make these kits from scratch (fabrication). If you want a turbo fast, go buy the td or maxrev kit and you'll receive a piece of junk in maybe two weeks time. I hear people saying they are willing to wait for quality, and then a week later the complaining starts again.

If they told us it would take 6 months, I'm sure we would all be fine with that. However, they told us 4-6 weeks, and they ordered all the parts beforehand. I'd be willing to wait for quality, if I was told I had to wait, rather than being promised an unrealistic date that got repeatedly pushed back. This is the only reason most of us are upset about it, nothing more. Thanks.

Yup, Dragoon is right, they promised a specific date and i even shot for a few weeks after that figuring they were being a LITTLE too optimistic but uf they would have been up front about waiting time and consistent with updates we would be fine.

Well guys - I took a trip down to the shop today. I was actually contemplating going, because I didn't know whether to fly back to Orlando today or tomorrow. Needless to say I chose tomorrow (6 hour flights suck!).

Anyhow, I finally got to meet some of the guys - Mike B, Max, and well - sorry man, the other guy! Mike Stafford was away on personal buisness or something. I arrived JUST as they were getting ready to go grab a bite to eat. I went for the $.10 tour. As expected it looks like a fab shop - parts of manifolds, fuel kits, turbos all over the place! There were like 5 or so cars there too (2 or three inside and the rest outside). From what Mike was saying, they were all customer cars, that they are working on as well.

I got to see my manifold (last stainless steel manifold stafford will ever make due to the difficult nature of stainless) - it looks bitchin'! Its almost complete, it just needed a little bit of fab work yet (the flanges need to be milled flat after welding, down pipe needs to come back from the bead-blaster). Other than that the new design they are using for the manifolds is damn nice. I really can't wait until they are finished with it...

We all went to lunch after that - I was lucky to be able to ride with Mike, in his legendary vic - what a ride! The damn thing has almost 50,000 miles on it - and purrs like a kitten....DH actually did do a good job on his head. Too bad they had other issues. Props to Mike, he paid for our lunches as well....

The day wasn't quite over just yet! We all went down to the Los Angeles County Racetrack, where Mike was trying to tune out their first turbo kit for a K20 swapped 7thgen! The guy was at the track with them - so I got to meet him as well (1slowcivic is his screen name I believe). It was a blast - there were a LOT of cool cars there, even a 12 second SRT-4!!!

The best part about the night was when I actually got to go down the track in the swapped vic - WOW! He was around 7 PSI, and was spinning most of the way.....The 1/4 mile times weren't the best, but that's to be expected due to the fact that the bugs are still being worked out.

So.....that was my day at Stafford Fabrications. I really am glad I got to meet everyone, as they are all really stand-up guys who are trying really hard to get everyone's kit finished. They are still behind on things, and have even stopped taking orders for a while until they get caught up. I understand everyone wants their kits (as do I!), but after seeing all of the stuff they are going through for them (and actually riding in a turboed vic!), in the end it will be well worth the wait!!!

goto any shop that makes fabricated products, you'll notice that there will be a long wait also... even the td and maxrev kits will take a lot of time to make especially with they had the same demand as the SF kit and all the other work that they have to do minus the civic turbo kits... so please be patient...

bottom line is....

mike will get your kits out and you'll be happy with them...

Thanks for the update Opto, and I am glad that the DH Head is working for them, do you happen to know if that head was milled 1mm, and if so what did he do to get it work properly with the turbo. High compression with turbo = bad!

Will the new design of the manifolds be shipped out with our kits or are they still working on it?

I have a suggestion. Lets not post "this sucks" or "I told you so threads" until the kits are done. Its like watching bread bake (is that the right one?). Lets just sit back and wait for the kits (if someone quotes me on this and says we have been waiting so long im gonna kill em, hahah). We have done what we can and I have done all that I can. When the kits ship out, then we will talk about UPS being slow or what not -- not SF. This is how they do things and we cant do much about it. IMO you dont go to a race track and test a new product, or anything else until your customers are satisfied. BUT, I am not them and neither are you guys. Sorry had to vent.

Hey opto, I stopped by the shop the same day you were there. It was around 4:30 or 5:00. That K20 turbo civic sounded so sick when they fired it up. I wanted to see it at the track that night. I'm sorry I missed out on it.
