Question about Engines
Question about Engines
I have a 1997 Honda Civic EX. I was looking to either get an engine swap or a turbo, but I don't know which engine I have (D16....B18.. and so on and on). I really don't know the difference in this stuff. I just know that my car is slow and I would like an upgrade. All, I known about my car's engine is that it is 1.6L V-Tec. That is all I know. So if you guys can help me in anyway, I would grately appreciate it.
hmmm well there's a swap/forced induction section and this is the suspension section lol... but i think the 97 EX has a D16Y8? well i'm pretty sure it's D16 something... as far as swaps most people see to go with a b16a since it has descent power and pretty cheap... like $1500?
the b18c5 has the most hp with 195... it's from the DC2 integra type R but the b16a is probably the most affordable... i think it comes from the integrea GS-R with 170 hp? i'm not sure just i know that's the most popular swap since it's cheap and you get descent power... someone correct me if i'm wrong
