<--- dropped over $3000 to Stafford Fabrications...and I want them to take her time making my turbo kit...don't want my stuff to be "half-a$$ed"....HELL U SHOULD BE THANKING STAFFORD FABRICATION FOR COMING UP WITH A SUCH A GREAT PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENT FOR OUR POOR D17 ENGINES...
i dont want ppl to get crazy w responses... im not really impatient, i just wanted an update of ppls experiences... customer reviews my take on reading between the lines is that the kit itself seems to be awesome no questions there it seems its just that ppl seem to not get complete kits sometimes and missing parts, and cant get hold of them that sorta thing, if i spent $4100 (canadian) of my hard earned money id want everything to get taken care of quite promptly that is all i was just wondering if it was getting better? customers experiences? obviously ppl still dont like td...
<--- tired of seeing all this whining and complaining about whats missing and "SF didn't do this and SF didn't do that"....how about some you guys help them run their online shop, FABRICATE YOUR TURBO KITS, DO INSTALLS, RESPOND TO THEIR PM'S AND E-MAILS AND VOICEMAILS, AND RUN A DAILY BUSINESS by PUTTING IN AN APPLICATION AT STAFFORD FABRICATIONS...

Boy, over 2000 views and 85 replies in the first DAY.....And that was waiting over 2 months. Oh yeah, forgot to mention that they FORGOT to ship the rest of my parts at the same time....I can also count the # of people on at least 1 hand which they have forgotten to ship parts for as well - so please, just stfu and stop being stupid, mmkay?
AIGHT I'M PISSED NOW...if u guys see all these people complaining about SF's customer service and how long it takes for them to complete you guys turbo kits...then Y THE HELL U GUYS KEEP BUYING FROM STAFFORD FABRICATIONS...don't bash them one second and then the next second you ordering something from them or you posting how great your car runs now with your new SF MOD...far as Forced Induction for 7th gen civics...STAFFORD FABRICATIONS OWNZ!! I haven't seen any better results from Maxrev or TD or whoever makes a turbo kit for 7th gens unless its a custom built turbo kit...
<--- appreciates Stafford Fabrications for all the work they are doing for 7th gen civics...without SF, I would have a K20A2 right now and be running low 15's instead when I receive my SF turbo kit, I'll be hitting 13's at the track...but just know when I'm done with this boosted D17 (courtesy of SF) I'll be moving on to the K20A2 but right now SF owns...
this is how I looked at my situation...$3500 to run low 15's or $3500 to run 13's...

The people who are bashing them are the ones that haven't received their kits yet. Folks who have just ordered their kits aren't bashing them. Haven't you been paying attention?Secondly, I have a custom kit that I am piecing together for my car. The only thing I bought from SF was my manifold / dumptube / downpipe and oil kit - that's it....everything else I've done or have been doing myself. So unless you have anything else to back up your useless banter - go not pass go, do not collect $200, do not continue looking like the 7th gen jester....

BETTER YET HOW ABOUT YOU FLAME STAFFORD THRU PM'S AND VOICEMAILS AND IF YOU WANT TO FLAME ME...PM ME INSTEAD OF HIJACKING "TRUE HONDA" AND THE PEOPLE THAT HAS ORDERED A TURBO KIT THRU "TRUE HONDA" TREAD.....MMMKAY?

Look man, I'm not on here to bash (nor do I hate) SF. They f#cked up, they are a growing company that expanded their buisness way too fast, and are (hopefully) learning from their mistakes. I post on this forum because of lack of information about this series of civics (2001+).
I just want people to be AWARE of the fact that there are crap companies and crap products out there. What SF sent out the door to me was simply - crap. As Dober pointed out in a previous thread, check out http://www.lovefab.com for some seriously awesome looking turbo manifolds! The welds are spotless, the fabrication is awesome! I expect none-the-less if I am going to pay $799 for a manifold. I would hope you would expect the same thing as well.
If we don't hold companies accountable for their mistakes, than they will walk all over us. 7thgen as a forum should not blindly jump aboard the train and be taken advantage of, as it is still a young forum when compared to the others out there - what I mean by that is that there could be some shady folks out there willing to take your money quite easily (ever hear the saying "a fool and his money are soon parted"?). When I post reviews of products I am tough for a reason. I am just watching out for some of the more "inexperienced" members of this site, and hoping they learn from mine (as well as others) past experience.....

I don't know who actually fabricated mine, but its definitely not worth $700......The pictures speak for themselves:
This just pissed me off the most - this image is full size, so its large. You can clearly see the pin hole in the weld bead - what a sloppy job.....
Last one, this again just speaks for itself.....shotty....
As you can see, these welds are horrible! The ceramic coating which I "bought" extra for $200 is a joke
I'm sorry Stafford, but for $700 you should have tried harder.....not worth the price for that much.
This is just a warning for those of you who are always saying that Stafford is the best......I personally want my money back - this doesn't look (or feel) like a good manifold. Considering I waited 2+ months for this, I am pissed. At this point I wouldn't mind just sending this back Mike and requesting a refund.....This is not how a $700 manifold is supposed to look
As far as why they just sent it out like that, why don't we ask Catalyst? Oh that's right! His PM box is full, and SF doesn't answer his phone! Voicemail left, let's see if he returns it.....
The actual collector, not too bad, but not that great
Makes me wonder....people are too afraid to speak up for their rights! Makes me wonder about DH Racing too.....Everyone just jumps on the bandwagon without research - well, here's your proof that its not always a good thing!
DH has NO dynos for ANY of his stuff besides what catalyst had on his car, and we don't know exactly what he had on his car to get that dyno......
Blah blah blah - I'm not here to debate DH's work. This thread is to show the quality of what I got. Quit trying to make your d!ck look bigger, I don't give a damn.
My thoughts too - a custom shop could have done a better job at this for the price I paid.....
