A few swap ?'s

Alright, i came across a pretty good deal for ALL the required parts to do a k20a2 swap (from the hassport website) from a junkyard for $4200, trying to talk the price down a little more, since i need to buy mounts from hassport which is another 6 bills

getting to the point. If i don't do the 5 lug conversion, won't the odometer/speedometer be off? i mean aren't the overall wheel diameter of the rsx and the vic different? (this the mph reading will be off, and the rev readings will be off too?)

also, if i get an aftermarket alarm, do i still have to worry about the whole immobilizer problem?

Thanks guys!

i dont think the rpm's would be off since that has nothing to do with your wheels... and the speedometer might be a little off but i dont think it would be too much to worry about. use the "tire calculator" on this website its on the left in the menu area.

oh, actually i checked, your tach will be reporting the correct rpms, but the engine might rev differently then it would with the stock tires. but then really that would happen if you get rims on a stock civic.

and be careful if its an automatic since that might screw up shift points so you might go past redline.

also, since u have to swap the ECU, will you be able to directly hook up the RSX gauge therefore bypassing the need to get hassport's harness?
