The one in that picture may not be an actual D17 log manifold. It may just be a sample of what he makes. But what you receive does indeed matchup. I know....I've seen his manifold first hand.

i would have never guessed that e/m ment exhaust manifold. as for the flange patterns i didnt know they were different from the regular d16/5's. Basically all you need is a flange with undrilled bolt patterns then mock it up. Also, do they have mount kits for B's into the 7g's? i cant recall ever seenin one.

What are the differnece in spec for the 1.6 heads to the 1.7?? If the bolt patterns are different then somthin inside has to be.

Also whats with the 1.7, isnt it stroked. Anyone used the crank in a diff motor and made good power? Hit me with links I dont get on here much or have time to search.

1.7's gotta love um wether B or D series hah

basically...almost everything has changed. nothing is swappable between the d16 and the d17.

Everythin's different now. From the direct ignition system, to the returnless fuel system, to the manifolds. Everythin's very different.

To answer one of your questions....no there is not a b series mount kit out for 7th gen's (even though there ARE K series kits for EK's, and EG's I believe) . Although I've heard "rumors" of be series kits for 7thgens...I Just don't think it's legal in most (if not all) states to put a motor in your car that's older than your car ( i could be wrong? )
