RSX type S swap compatibility
RSX type S swap compatibility
How compatible is the running gear from a type-s RSX? I have an opportunity to get a donor car and swap the engine, tranny and suspension but I just don't know how much of a "drop in" it will be. I imagine the rear suspension will be a direct bolt on but what about the front? Anyone have any experience?
check out www.hondawerx.com they have all the info you'll need for the swap.

you forget, the si shift lever is in a totally different location from where the normal civic is.. you are gonna need to use the rsx ones
as for the subframe, its the same if its from the ep3 or the dc5

Everything you need is here
trust me hasport knows what they're talking about.
The rear spindles from the RSX will bolt up to the Civic trailing arms. Your gonna need to take off the RSX's ebrake cables, and brake cables. For the front you need to take of the RSX abs sensor, i forgot to do that one. And use the RSX struts, the knuckles won't bolt up to the Civic struts.
If you look through my members ride section you will see that basically everything from a RSX will bolt up to a Civic with little to no modifacations.

there wasn't play in the 2 bolts that connect the shock to the knuckle? on my car the rsx had wider holes on the knuckles, thats why i used the rsx struts.
