d16 into 2002 civic??
d16 into 2002 civic??
I was thinking about it and i know the d16 is smaller, but compared to a k20 you can get them real cheap, i mean like $300. Can you put a d16 in a 2002 lx civic? You probably thinking im crazy, but the aftermarket is much greater for the d16, they have headers, intake manifolds, pistons, valve springs, fuel rails, etc... And the parts are so much cheaper also because they have been out for awhile, there is also more turbo kits for it too. Anyone thougt of this, is it possible. I know anything is possible with money, blah, blah, blah but shouldn't this swap be easy?

Impatience is not a good reason for a backwards swap.

ROFLAMO!! That pics is the best!!
But yeah, all the sh*t is practically out for the D17. Some of it has to be custom, but you can do it. Check out DH-racing.com

don't do it man. just buy a d17 engine or just the block. have it in your garage and just build that up. sleeve it, get forged pistons, pnp head.
or go turbo or do a k20 swap. if your gonna go thru the trouble of a swap it might as well be a k20.
