sf fuel system
sf fuel system
yeah i was just wondering if sf sells their fuel system setup seperately and if that system would work with my turbo setup? also what does it all come with(what components)? also how much, if they do sell it individually, is the fuel system?
I think they get like 600 for it...IMO I'd convert to return if you are at all serious about making big power. If you are just looking for reliable boost then by all means contact Mike or Mike.

My question for those of you who are thinking about the SF system is when you're adapting that to your turbo application are you looking at the compressor maps for your turbo in comparison to SF's? REason I ask is, and don't flame me if I'm wrong here as I don't own the system, but isn't SF's kit tuned for their particular setup or is it programmable?

Oops forgot the other half of my post. So anyway like I said if it's not programmable and you just add that system, if your particular turbo flows more you could run lean. However, I'm sure they've developed this so you can make adjustments via a piggyback. Like I said I'm not familiar with the system just thought I'd ask and throw that idea out there.

We have run the system with everywhere from a single small T3 on a civic, to an insanely large T3 (larger than most T4's), to a twin turbo durango with 2 sper 60's. All with the same calibration. We tune it to run rich, so it works at all altitudes with no problem. We took our celica GT up over eisenhower pass in colorado (12,000 ft) on 12 psi and didnt run extremely rich, and at sealevel on a cold day it doesnt run lean.
You can adjust the fuel system by using a piggyback system. It will work great with an SAFC

Catalyst,
Thanks for the info. I assumed a piggyback was compatible, I just wanted to make sure that those people considering a different turbo didn't have to worry about their specific compressor. It would suck for a member to run into a problem with too lean of conditions because they picked a turbo setup that flowed too much for your system without a proper piggyback system. Now that that is cleared up I'll shut up.

c2i0v0i1c,
there is more to it than that. If it were just an fmu and a pump everyone and their brother would have one.
There is alot of time into building those. There are hidden pieces and modifications throughout the fuel system. The FMU is not an FMU anymore. And we make modifications to the pump as well.
Quiksilver,
Your welcome. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Here is how you can use FMU and inline pump in a retunless fuel system.
