Ok - so I just got my charge piping welded (looks awesome). Now I need to put some beads on the ends so they don't blow off under boost. The shop who did the welding didn't really have any idea who around here had the proper machine to make a bead. So does anyone have any ideas on making your own beads (or know of any places that might do it)?

I just TIG welded beads on my charge pipes.

True. Finding a place to actually bead the pipe is hard. If you don't have access to a welder. Then take some 80 grit sandpaper and rough it up a bit. Then mask off a stripe on the pipe, and put epoxy on the stripe. When its dry pull the tape off and you'll have a nice clean easy bead. Cheers

TIG welding beads on your charge pipe is as good as normally beading it. It worked for me.

if you have them powdercoated, you should not have to worry about them coming off. The rubber coupler on the powdercoating makes a very strong bond.

could someone show a pic of what the beads look like and where they're welded at? Would they be welded only by the intercooler and throttle body? Im confused, sorry, i just wanna make sure so i can get mine done and wont have problems
