N-tercooler

My friend wants to buy one for his 2003 mach 1 and hes thinking of mounting it over the rad so when he drags and hes waiting in like he can just spray and cool down. So when he drags he'll be at optimal temperature. Anyone know if this can be down? He asked a shop and theyre not sure?

I dont see why not, an intercooler and a radiator opporate on the same principal. There both just a heat exchanger, so by cooling the heat exchanger down it can extract more heat from the media flowing through it.

You wont actualy dramaticlt cool the water in the radiator. You'l just simply increase the radiators ability to remove heat from the water.

Im a HVAC techician so I work w/ this principal on a daily bases. The base theory of refrigeration is moving heat from a place where its not wanted to a place that it wont effect.

it will cool the water in the radiator but will help performace by at the most a few HP....

A complete waste of money if you ask me.... Spend the money on an exhaust.... Then throw a bag of ice on the intake and get the same HP gain.....
