i have a question, if i were to put K20A2 or K24 in my civic is there any way to make it smog legal? do smog laws go by the car or by the engine? if i can who would i take it to?
plz just serious replys, no smartassz!!!!

well, if a k20a2 is found to be smog legal in an rsx.. and you took all the nessasary parts from the rsx (cat back exhaust + engine) you would get the same set up as an rsx (which is smog legal) in your civic (which would become smog legal).

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it's determined by the exhaust. And you must use an engine the same year as your car or above.

If your doing one of these swaps, the least of your worries should be emmisions test and inspection ****, you could always pay someone. You have to know someone who can help you with that. Thats the easy part.
