engine code

does anyone with a turbo?
have an engine light that reads the code p0505.
it's the idle control system malfunction.
if so what did you do about it?

is ur honda dealer nice, mine is, whenever i get codes i take it and get the number and they print me out a fix it type sheet that they use, that way i have the info in front of me to work with, next saturday ill be going to cincy where my dealer is and ill look for info on that code, the only idle problem i have is when the car is cold, right after start up, it kinda flucuates up and down til it warms and then goes back to perfect idle, ill look for u, its late right now and i dont want to hunt for my service manual, which might help a lil but i doubt

sounds like it could be ur throttle position sensor, but they dont sell yours at autozone, trust me i work there and ive looked at damn near all the parts they have for our cars, brake pads, fifty dollar rotors, thats about it, so go to napa or BAP, and they could assist u with getting that part.

The TPS on the new civics is non-removable on the USDM engines. and if you get a JDM one that is adjustable, it is considered illegal because it allows you to screw with your fuel.

If it is bad, the only "legal" way you can replace it is to buy a whole new throttlebody. which is $175
