Question Buying a nitrous kit

Hey i got a friend who is selling me a nitrous kit for $200. He used on his Hatchback and i was wondering if i buy it will i be able to use it on my 01 civic? Is there a problem that its for a hatch or what? Do you guy's think i should buy it?

If it's a DRY system, it is not going to work on our civics, although it might have in past generation civics... we have something like a... vacuum regulated fuel system or something? that makes it where more fuel (to compensate for the N2O) cannot get pumped into the engine. Previous civics could do this.

As long as the system is WET (which means fuel is added in with the N2O) then it should work fine with our cars.

yeah make sure you get a t connector to tap into the fuel line and to
get a wide open throttle switch along with it.

Hey thanks alot i'll check and see whats up. One more question i can make to where it only gives me like a 50 shot a not a 75 shot like he had it on his right? What would i need to that?

So do you'all think i should get the kit or pass? I think it is a wet kit?

That is a good price for a wet kit. Make sure if you buy it that he gives you everything. Even the Throttle switch (if he has one)

It depends. It can run anywhere from $50 to $200 to install it. It is pretty simple. As long as you are knowledgable with wiring stuff up, you should be able to install it. The install of the actual jet, solenoids, and lines are easy. The wiring is what gets people.
