powerband sinks at about 6400rpm for lx/dx, and 7000rpm for ex... no point in shifting past that., the power is on the downfall... shift there and youre all good.....

DO NOT ADVANCE YOUR TIMING WHEN RUNNING FI.

Say bye to your motor! The rev-limiter is set for 7000rpms, no way to get past it, Jet ECU doesn't even bypass it.

To launch, I know u asked future, I launch at about 3000rpms then slip the clutch which is still a joke. Traction is not there in 1st lol. Future should have some good launch tips though, he's dragged with boost more than I have.

^^^ thanx for the info madwheel, but i am asking about at what RPM do u shift at not launching. In other words, do u shift at redline or around 6600 or what? Cuz i am always afraid to run the rpm's up that high.

I usually shift at lower rpms, at most about 6000. I have a 5 speed EX. The car has a ton of mid range tourque so I don't see the need to push the car harder. For racing, shorter first gear, almost redline 2nd (go to about 67-6800), 3rd shift at about 6600, then finish in 4th. That's worked best for me.
