i want a K24
Ok, so I've been searching about it and I think this engine is nuts...2.4L 162hp(accord/crv) and 160lb ft torque...not bad in a civic, I also read of companies putting it in 7th gens and hasport having mounts for it...but has anyone on the site done it? How hard is it really being a larger engine? And ive read for relatively cheap you can get the engine..and in a powerpages I saw that header, intake and exhaust from DC sports gave around 20whp and 15lb ft...not bad, also

search. try car-part.com. I made a thread about an AWD K24 setup... It's a good thing, but a built D17 from DH and you'll save money, time, and own in performance.

the TSX is the one you'd want. 200 HP and like 181 ft./lbs. tq. i'm positive about the hp, but not the torque...but yea..

but its hard to do it till some does and tell you what you need.
i could not do it, the civic is my daily car and i cant take time of it to experimient with a k24
tsx specs
Displacement (liters)
2.4
Horsepower (SAE net)
200-hp @ 6800 rpm
Torque
166 lbs-ft @ 4500 rpm
Redline
7100 rpm
Compression Ratio
10.5:1
but i saw this also on the acura site
Throttle Control
Drive-by-Wire Throttle System
will this pose a problem??
this seems to be the way to go for all motor..the accord, crv and element all have similar tq but the compression ration is around 9.5 to one....better for turbo maybe.

this will sound n00b but.. whats so special about the K24 block?
i mean:
Why would be better a k24 block with K20A head than a complete K20A engine?
is this for the cheap (price) block?

so nobody knows if the lack of a throttle cable will work?? oh well...ill be looking for a wrecked accord and eventually a turbo kit....the 9.7:1 is a little better to start a turbo motor with anyways....double headgasket , maybe an RSX type S head and a nice turbo....should be good

ive been finding K24s out of accords in NC running from 1,000-1500 not bad at all. Maybe can be my graduation present! hehe
alex053, i was wondering the same thing because if i could find a TSX motor thatd be even better

use a TSX 6 speed.
i think it may be easier if we do a k24 from an accord/crv/element and a k20 head to "make" a tsx motor. mmmmmm...i love torque. even just dropping an k24 will make us b series eaters....the B16a is 16hp but only 11tq. i cant wait!!!
