Overheated engine
"K24 short block, needs to be rebuilt. from a 2004 accord with less than 800 miles on it. engine was overheated, i recomend having a machine shop go through it but is rebuildable."
What is this person talking about? Correct me if I am wrong but aren't engine blocks pretty much bullet proof? If I am going to replace the pistons, crank etc shouldnt things be ok or can the walls get "scared" and mess up everything. I like all help =p thanks guys.

that walls could have been scarred up and possibly some things damaged, but I'm sure some parts are still good. If you bought it I would just take it to a machine shop. Plus you would need to redo all seals and everything.
It would probably end up being a pretty massive project.

"no theres no scaring on the cyl walls, but looks alittle scorched (glazed) it looks as tho u could just hone it, the crank is turnable but i think it spun a rod, it still turns over pretty easy."
The seller said that back to me when asked about the cylinder walls. So if I plan on replacing the pistons, crank, and rods I should be good right? Also, should Im going to go ahead and take it to a machine shop just incase but what do you guys think that will cost, repairing "glazed" cylinder walls? Thanks for the help guys.
