i looked at the DIY which is really really good.
it says 3-4 hours to install.
anyway thanks for the info on the install. so i should figure around 300.
well either ill hit up osoboosted
or i have a 250 credit to a shop have them do it so it only cost me around 50-100 bucks.

yeah took me 1 night (starting at 10pm, ending at 1am) then we finsihed the following day and drove it at the end of that afternoon.
dont pay more than $500 to get it installed ... this shop in jersey called east coast auto sports said its gonna run me about 800-1200 i was like wtf ..1200 i can start building my motor or do a tranny swap ... i think i'd prefer 1200 in my pocket and 8-10hrs of my day spent on my car

2 hours oso? i dunno man, things are fairly straightfoward but 2 hours seems like a bid stretch, especially if you're on your own.
now that i know what i'm doing 5-6 hours is definately feasible. dunno bout 2 but if he says so, even if he runs into probs the most it should take is 4
. Have fun with it though. I have fun with mine haha

I would try to DIY- its not that bad and there really isn't a lot of special parts you are going to need.
I don't know it took 3 people including me to put the kit on my car- about 14 hours. This was w/out instructions though, just pics from Catalysts DIY.
I am in NY too- Lake George- but let me know if you need any help- what part of NY are you from?
I think the hardest part is the oil pan part but then figure in more time too if you are installing gauges
My boyfriend had his Comptech supercharger put on by Honda (a friend hooks us up there) and it was 5 hours of labor w/ a discount.

well as far as i can tell youll get a high quote like that from a shop who isnt familiar with what they're doing .
find a better shop.
or maybe its just not as common a thing in Canada as it is here in the states.

mine was 800, but that included more than just a basic install, taking AC out shaving the brackets, welding bungs into the DP, putting in a new electric radiator fan, other stuff that most people dont have to do
