another boost question

all the guys with turbo's are probley sick of hearing this but with pistons rods and blockguard, on our engines, whats the most anyone ever turned the boost up to and had no prob running and no prob, after that? i hurd the guy who ran 18 and blew stuff up, thats not what i want to know. my goal is 14 psi and a 50 shot of nitrous, and not blow anything up and still be able to drive it back to and from work

C2i0v0i1c has custom Je Pistons in his motor right now and a set of Eagle Rods waiting and another motor waiting for him if he blows his current engine. He runs 13 psi daily, but has a return fuel system conversion, 440cc Injectors, and the E-Manage. If you want 14 daily and nitrous you will have to have rods/pistons and maybe sleeves, blockguards are a waste of time anyway. But the most important thing is tuning, dont expect to run 14 psi without massive amounts of tuning or have a new engine waiting if your engine goes.

UPDATE: crower rods, other engine is sold to CAPTAIN, tuning is the only way, block guards/block posting, by god if ur taking the engine apart sleeve the darn thing and be done with it, why take it apart twice, once to install block guard, and second when it blows so u will have to sleeve it, just sleeve it first and be done and not worry. my car has more than 300 hrs of tuning, yes 300+, 13psi feels sick, also after going to SEMA this week, i came out of it meeting all kinds of people, and have the makings of two potential sponsors, one sponsor is better than the other, but if i get either, watch out, everything will be done, inside and out and under the hood, i mean everything, it may take the whole year before ne thing gets worked out, but one of the guys wants my car to be a feature car outside at SEMA next year.sooo....we will see

Thats cool.

Back to the topic. So with just pistons, you could run 12-13 psi daily, with tuning oh course, right?

iamboo is on a distinguished road
no one has run their car on the quartermile with anything else but the sf kit... well reported anyways...

the fastest time we've got was catalysts 13.6 at 9psi....

there are other members on the board that have made it into the 13's with similar boost levels but might i had that they were all in the higher end of the spectrum...

so if you decide to build your engine and run it at 11 and 13 psi, post some numbers up for us.... until then... nobody knows cause nobody has run it with this kind of setup.... locked for now...
