Thats what my mom said at first, I was like I have all the parts already so wtf, I also told her soon I will get my turbo, so my car wont be slow anymore. What I really need is a donation
for tein or B&G
for tein or B&G Sadly here in Texas where I live there are no quality mechanics, They are all filthy thieves =p. Therefore I get ripped off everytime I try to hire their help. I took mine to a local mechanic and he estimated the swap labor and parts at $2600. With the money I save from NOT doing the swap I can buy a turbo from our gracious supplier Catatylst and be on my way. Plus I want to show up the people who hate auto and four doors.

I have a question, I just did a swap and I am having problems with a lag in the accelerator when I shift gears...? Anyone know what this could be from? I also have the SF Turbo Kits just for extra info..The only thing that I did not change out that

yeah man, its called the dash wiring harness inside your whole steering wheel colum n guages, a/c all that stuff needs to be replaces and taken out. Oh take a picture because some parts we forgot where they went so you can look it up for reference. You need the dash wiring harness because of the clutch sensor and thats basically it oh yeah the ecu is differen't wiring compared to the auto, cuz the auto ecu has 4 plugs and manual has 3 because I guess of the reverse lights or something you'll need it to make the reverse lights go on or something thats what my mechanic told me.
oh ok that is all you need it for?...we didn't replace that, we just grounded out that sensor and the steering whell key lock, so I can start the car without pushing the clutch in, obviously I push it in anyways...
Elite, what else did you replace in your car? did you keep the auto ecu and the auto throttle body (auto idle control valve, tps sensor, etc.) I swapped all of that over to the manual and I am having this bad lag in the throttle, I can't figure the thing out. Please let me know what exactly you replaced, and if you kept all the auto stuff in are you throwing any check engine lights?
I am going to do my swap real soon, and i have a lx
here's the list of what i need
Tranny
Shift linkage
shifter assembly
pedal assembly
master cylinder

actually I just replaced the motor mounts because mine were broken due to my stock shocks and gc coilovers, all you need to do it replace the 2 tranny mounts, and the only problem I have now is my 3rd gear grinding because I speedshift, well I deserve it. Which has nothing related to the tranny swap
Re: Finished my tranny swap
Tranny $600
Shift linkage $free with tranny
shifter assembly $free with tranny
pedal assembly $free with tranny
master cylinder $free with tranny
slave cylinder $free with tranny
clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, make sure to get adjusting tool $depends
clutch line $free with tranny
wiring harness dash $100-150
engine harness $100-150

I'm really interested in this swap cuz i can't trade out of this car without swallowing a lot of money.
does the tranny have to be one from a civic or will an RSX tranny be better?
thanx

yur looking to spend about 1200 for stock oem parts, but if u go after market like clutches flywheels and shortshifter like me you end up spending another 500-600
so it is doable! that is frikkin' awesome! i am just glad that some one finally posted this info in full (even though i originally had posted the same thing asking how to do this and even if it was doable close to half a year ago and people said that it was not doable or that it would cost to much time and money andwould be very labor intensive, therefore not worth the time effort and labor). btw how much was the total for all this? (inc. tranny, nuts & bolts, time & labor, etc?)

But i am making the payments on it.
