Turbo Compression
Ok I got a question about compression, I was talking to a guy in my mechanics class today and he said that when you get a turbo installed it raises your compression, that sort of made no sense to me so care to example if hes right or wrong plzz.

It probably made no sense to you because you were thinking Comression ratio and not compression itself. With a turbo, you are forcing more air than you would N/A, so that extra air has to be compressed the same as the N/A. Because you have more air and it's being compressed the same... you have a higher pressure in the cylinder, hence... it's compressed higher. The compression ratio still stays the same though. There is no change in the volume of the cylinders.
