Anyone running with a wideband O2 sensor?

Anyone running with a wideband O2 sensor?

I am searching on the subject, and am just curious to know who is running with a wideband O2 sensor / monitor? My plan is to buy one to replace the first O2 sensor, and just use an O2 sim for the second sensor. That way I can tune the car (and monitor it) more accurately than with the stock O2 sensor.

I wish I had the money for one, and thats what Im eventually going to do...Get an FJO, I think there around like 800 Dollars

good friend of mine has the FJO kit in his supra...we just installed it last week....picked up 28rwhp with it too!!! he paid 435 for his kit and that included the O2 sensor, box, and the AFR display....its about 650-700 to get it with the datalogging software and rpm pickup but if you dont have someone experienced riding with you that can read the 02's and watch the tach at the same time it can be hard to tune your car in properly.oh, we bought his at www.widebando2.com. We got a deal with our purchase price so im not positive to how much it would be for everything for you but check out the site and give em a call...he's a cool guy. hope this helps u. if you need help with the install let me know too

I'm still in la la land when it comes to buying a turbo.....I am probably going to go with SF's kit, minus the fuel setup. I want to get the Greddy E-manage, with some 440cc injectors. I was curious to know if anyone ran with a wideband O2 sensor just to see if anyone did.

The only problem with the E-manange setup and a wideband is that it would only be for monitoring purposes. The wideband setup might not work properly with the stock ecu (I know that some, including AEM claim to have a 1v analog output, but its more like .47v - 1v, which really doesn't help if you are running rich I guess). The only way to properly use the full 5v of the wideband would be to go with a complete aftermarket ECU, like the EMS. But - I don't think it is out yet, and is rediculously expensive ($1000+), even though it would be the best mehod of tuning since you can set EVERYTHING!

So for now, I am just doing a LOT of reading to find out what will be the best route. My concern with going with a turbo kit that's available for our cars right now is that there is still no way to control ignition timing - unless an emanage or similar is used. There are many good threads to read on the honda-tech board regarding boost, ignition timing, and "tricking" the ecu to read from the MAP sensor (ala the S-AFC hack). That route would be the proper way to go for our cars, but is expensive. I figure that by the time I have the money saved up to purchase the required parts, that hopefully either A) someone will have gotten the emanage ot work, or B) some company will release something that is compatible with our ECU's.

dont forget that 440cc injectors do not fit without modification. i was going to go with a e manage and larger injectors but didnt because the injectors were too long

I wonder if RC engineering can custom make some injectors that will fit? Might be expensive, but hey......

what about using rsx-s injectors... i heard they are like 330 cc and fit perfectly

That might work. Does anyone have one of the stock injectors in front of them? Majestic Honda's website says they are made by Keihin. Keihin's website specifies different injectors and sizes, but the Helm manual doesn't list what the P/N is for our car....

According to AEM's website, it isn't out yet. I believe they are still in the R&D phase, since our cars have waco ECUs to begin with. But yeah, EMS would be the best soloution to everything if tuned properly. Hell, it even accepts the wideband O2 sensor directly, no need to convert to narrowband....
