E-Ram Electric supercharger
Okay guys..I know what practically all of you are going to say..."You wasted your money.." but honestly..I met another guy off this forum somewhere in Orange County with an automatic 01 EX...He had DC headers, Injen Short Ram intake, Full Magnaflow Exhaust...He put this electric supercharger at the end of the short ram intake and told me his gain was incredible..Might not be as crazy as a turbo or supercharger..But said it was way efficient for 300 bux...Pushing 1 psi off this small fan he said it reallie was worth it...Oh yea..And he told me he burnt a 00 EX manual w/an intake only in a quarter mile..I'm not sure if he was BS'n or what not..But the pressure that the guy showed me in the "in person" demonstration when i went to purchase it was very convincing..I'm also planning to get the venom 44 performance module due to the lack of VAFC II from APexI as of the moment. But I'd be greatful if you'll give me your inputs on this post. After I install it I will go to mai dad's company to get mai car dynoed and let you know of whatever gains my car gets *if any at all..haha*...
Well thankz for reading guys!

a friend of mine put one of those on his 00' Si he got a turbo kit made....it made minimal difference to performance but a little more power was noticable in the mid-range, only problem we had was that it would blow the 20amp fuse every so often....probably about 20min of use. but its not always on since its activated either by full throttle or a switch so it would last a few days. hope info helps

now im really wanting to know if anyone in person has one of these..haha..lmk how it worked out for u...what bolt ons you have etc...chipped...peformance modules?...lmk..
we bought it just to see if it did anything, didnt really expect to get much out of it....at the time his 2000 Si had I/H/E w/ a dyno tuned VAFC...gains in acutal hp i would only say would have been 2-3 wheel hp to be honest....save ur money unless u got it to blow. it does make an odd sound that will get peoples attention i must say. if ur at and idle and u floor it real quick or floor the car when its off it sounds like u have a giant hair dryer in ur intake, lol

this thread should be locked. E-RAM ha "engine ramp" and the ramp is going down, for 70 bucks thats an injector, or a turbo timer, or a couple of small things needed for a real turbo setup. 300 bucks on one holy SHIIITTTTTTTTTTTT!!! thats a BOV and a wastegate combined, or a fuel controller like the SAFC, or almost a boost controller
i dont know what you guys are getting so up tight about.....everyone has the right to try something new no matter what it is. intakes are basicly a pointless item for 95% of the civics that have them considering they "make a noise" rather than actually give any significant gains and people will pay what? 230 or so for an AEM intake for what? cause it sounds cool......who cares really. just because someone has an opinion on something and wants to try it out no matter how ridiculous it may sound you should still give it a shot and see.....especially if this is the first time you've heard of the item. by the way 01WingsWestCivic.....if its not a true eram....i wouldnt expect it to last much more than 5minutes or give any gain what so ever...the knock offs are worthless. OH YES! one thing i forgot to mention was that thanks to having an expierence with an eram i found a supplier that can get me 3" K&N filters for the intakes that i make for myself and friends b/c its 28 dollars well spend and we get results from them.....so actually messing with the erams actually benefited me down the road. their product does serve "some sort of purpose" and if u got the money to blow like i said before its something different to have.

i personally dont see anything wrong with trying one if you want, i wouldnt spend $300 dollars on one. goto www.iboats.com (i think it is), they have the same thing for like $50. it seems like in theory it could work, but good luck either way

okay guys..i installed the E-Ram...Well i'll tell you my set up first..
I have an Injen CAI
AEM Underdrive Pulleys
DC Sport Headers
Full Exhaust Catback
Okay I installed the E-Ram "inline" right next to the throttle body so that the TB gets the full blow from the e-ram being closer to it..I cleaned the filter of my Injen Intake filter...
Afterwards..I went for a test run around 8:30 at night...The air around my area was getting pretty chilly..So I thought best to test it then...So...I hit the fwy at about 45 mph..Still not flooring it to WOT...Once I pick up some speed..I floor the hell out of my vic to WOT...I got from 60 to 95 within about..Shoot..IOno..but was pretty quick..haha...Okay thereafter..I washed up and went down to see my gf last night..On my way..I met like an 98 sentra..Well anyways..He had rims and that powered by nissan sticker like on his winshield..Anyways..He looks at my car and then revs on me..Anyways..I was like WTH..I'll see..This is the sweet part..My car right as i floored it..didnt seem to pick up any difference...but i think around 2,500 rpm my car was right next to him still and as the rpm rose up higher..i passed him pretty fast..and kept passing him...I think that's what's cool about this E-Ram..It's on as long as my foot is pedal to the metal...Oh yea..I've been runn'n the e-ram kinda hard afterwards..Fuse or the amp or whatever it is..Still shining clean and no signs of burning out..This is the real E-ram guys..haha..Okay but simply this E-ram is **** compared to the awesome SF turbo!@!
Now..Setting aside some money for the K20 JDM Type R!!!

Just be cautious with the e-ram. I've heard horror stories of people with those and the fan blades breaking off and going into the TB and messing the motor up. Just a heads up.

you guys are seriously great..Thanks for giving me sum back support..Well the makers of the E-Ram have prepared for the blade breaking off and entering the TB..They inserted a mesh right behind the fan and its kept supported from being blown away by the intkae tube..Kinda hard to explain..But Im on the safety..I much appreciate all that is in support of me trying new things out for my car..As for the people that can't be mature about these things..I don't know what else to say but to grow up..And if you can do better like get a REAL turbo or supercharger..Then glory to you..But you all should know one thing..LEARN TO BE HUMBLE..It doesnt hurt..Prideful bastards...*tsk tsk*
