which type of gauges?

full sweep electrical? or mechanical? i'm going to get a boost, oil temp and tranny temp gauges but those are the 2 types they have. i asked this before is some other thread but i couldnt find it so i'm asking again. why are electrical so much more than mechanical, are they more accurate? and which type would you recommend for each gauge? like would electrical be better for the boost or mechnical? etc.... thanks.

i dont know anything about a tranny temp guage, as far as oil press and boost go, get mechanical, for the oil pressure one u have to feed oil into the guage in order for it to work and the boost has a vaccum hose that goes into guage, for legit drag racing u cant have a mechanical oil pressure guage inside the car thats why u see them on the hood by the wipers and stuff

yea but a electric oil pressure gauge is fine... what u get is a sender... which reads the pressure and u send a wire from the sender to the gauge..... me personally i dont need or want Oil running inside the car... god forbid i get into an accident and my a pillar gets smashed... im gonna have OIL all over...

as for boost mechanical for the gauge.. and digital for controller so u can adjust it from the seat!
