The Point of Headers?

So what do they do...i never actually looked into it? What if i took them off? what will it sound like? I know it is illegal but if you took them off how long could you ride around with the off? HAHAHA jus a question!!!! even though it is a dum one Also will it make it go faster? if i took them off of my 91 accord would i show the same results? i think i'm gonna test it out on my 91 accord!!!!

dude ur car will sound like a harely.. i drove with just the header and no exhaust attached to the muffler shop to get it welded.. MAN is it loud!

they basically direct the exhaust flow out from the engine, through the catalytic conveter and out the muffler. you will gain some power running without one, but then the very hot gasses will be flowing through your engine bay and will definitely fu_ck something up

you will lose power without the header to direct the exhust gases,you may damage the valves due to the constant change in temps .

without headers you are going to have no torque and run like a dog.
