turbo light?

anyone ever heard or seen anythign like this? im still saving for my turbo.. halfway there!! and i was thinking about making a turbo light. it is sort of a rip from the vtec light idea. but i think a turbo light is more worth it.. since u can really feel boost compared to the d17 sohc vtec "kick"

i was considering doing it on the passengerside dash. maybe drill a hole for a small led and get a turbo emblem under it. have the light, light up wen boost is on, or maybe even have it light up brighter and brighter untill u reach full boost.

haha sorta like this. i would warn all passengers wen they see this light, to hold on for dear life.. lol

do any of those switches and **** actually do anything?
By the way the only way I can think of to do something like that is to have a boost sensor hooked up to a relay or something, hooked up to the light. Would be better to just have a boost guage.

one is the power for the LCD.. and the other is the faceplate disconnect switch. i cannot eject the cd without "turning off" the face plate due to my custom install.

lol who puts switches that do nothing?!? lol

you could but a big 3 inch illuminated red buttom on the dash that has boost printed on it and connect it to an electronic boost controller that will take you from 5 to 10psi. that would be sorta cool. kinda like max boost in his little green hatchback

Bah, its a little ricey for me even for a turbo car. I recommend just getting a boost gauge on your a-pillar. Maybe placing it somewhere else but a light that will only look pretty will prolly get annoying after awhile just like the "vtec light." Also, I'm not digging the Turbo I can see getting a badge made like catylist did for the rear of your car but placing turbo on your dash is almost as bad as putting your civic badge there. Those are just my $0.02's.

Yeah I would just get a boost guage.
Besides, dont it look cooler seeing the boost guage moving around when you change driving style, cooler than a little light coming on all the time, day after day, etc?
